This non-profit organization demonstrates the love of Jesus by providing for spiritual, physical and financial needs and empowering the area’s neediest citizens to transform hopelessness into potential. Community Christian Council provides meals in West Georgia and surrounding areas. They also host volunteers throughout the year. These volunteers serve selflessly by doing whatever needs to be done: serving meals, providing triage, doing construction, painting, the lost goes on!
Local partners and programs provide us with food for hundreds of families during the holiday season and throughout the year. Because of generous donations from church congregations, schools, companies and civic organizations, we are grateful to have the ability to make a meaningful impact to relieve hunger in our own community.
We organize an annual collection of money and food donations in November for families in need. This is done in conjunction with the CCC. Sponsored by the United Methodist Women Evening Group.
Caring Christmas is a community wide gift drive that is distributed to families in need. The event provides gifts and necessary items for Christmas to children within the Bremen City School District. This mission is sponsored by the United Methodist Men and is funded by donations and our annual fish fry fundraiser.
First Sunday collection of non-perishable food. This collection fills our Blessing Boxes around the Bremen Community.
The Rapha Clinic of West Georgia (Rapha) is a faith based, non-profit, charitable ministry serving uninsured adults in West Georgia (Carroll, Douglas, Haralson, Heard, and Paulding Counties). Volunteer professionals provide high quality medical and dental care to those most in need. In addition to the best healthcare, Rapha patients receive spiritual support and guidance without forcing beliefs. Rapha believes that good healthcare is everyone's responsibility.
Rise Against Hunger is growing a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies. By participating in packing events, we package and ship thousands of meals and gives our congregation an opportunity to actively participate in helping eliminate world hunger.
Collection of new and gently used coats for the community. Held in the fall of each year, the coats are distributed in October. Sponsored by the United Methodist Women Evening group.
