As a licensed and ordained Elder and certified Professional Educator, Pastor Stacey has served eight unique United Methodist churches in North and South Georgia and South Carolina for over eighteen years as Pastor in Charge and Chief Administrative Officer. Pastor Stacey graduated from Erskine Theological Seminary in 2002 after which he completed 400 hours of Clinical Pastoral Education at Palmetto Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC. He is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve and serves as a Protestant Chaplain. He is currently the Individual Mobilization Assistant to the Deputy Commandant and a senior staff instructor at the Air Force Chaplain Corps College, at Maxwell AFB, AL. He first realized his calling to pastoral ministry while discussing the Bible with high school students in the summer of 1992 as a ministry intern with the Wesley Foundation at Georgia Southern University.
He and his wife, Melissa, have a “Brady Bunch” of six adult children (including one daughter in-law) and three very spoiled “canine children”. Together they enjoy exercise, outdoor living, music, travel, sports, and family activities. Stacey likes Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies; blues, jazz, and Southern Rock; and is an avid, amateur Cross-fit athlete.
