At Bremen First United Methodist Church, our faith is centered on Jesus Christ and rooted in the grace and love of God. As part of The United Methodist Church, we share in the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who created us, loves us, and calls us into relationship with God and one another.
Jesus Christ is at the center of our faith. Through his life, death, and resurrection, we experience God's love, forgiveness, new life, and hope.
Grace is at the heart of the United Methodist tradition. We believe God's grace is at work in our lives before we are even aware of it, drawing us toward Christ, forgiving us, and continuing to shape us throughout our lives.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and foundational for our faith and life. United Methodists seek to understand Scripture through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and with the help of Christian tradition, reason, and experience.
We believe we were never meant to follow Jesus alone. The church is the Body of Christ—a community where we worship, learn, pray, care for one another, and grow together. Our faith also sends us beyond the walls of the church to love our neighbors and serve our community and world.
United Methodists celebrate two sacraments: Holy Baptism and Holy Communion. Through Baptism, we are welcomed into the covenant community of faith. At Communion, we remember Christ's saving love and experience God's grace together.
Our Communion table is open to all who seek Christ. You do not have to be a member of Bremen First or a United Methodist to receive Communion.
Following Jesus is more than what we believe—it shapes how we live. We seek to love God and our neighbors, care for those in need, share the good news of Jesus Christ, and be a faithful presence in our community.
You don't have to have everything figured out before coming to church. Questions are welcome. Faith grows over time, and we believe God meets us wherever we are on the journey.
